I have a beautiful teenage daughter. However, I am sure you all know that with the teenage years many times comes skin issues.
Personally, I never really had skin issues. I would get a zit or two once a month when my monthly…not so nice friend…would visit…LOL. Unfortunately, my DH DID have skin issues as a teen and now our daughter has inherited them!
I did what most Moms do an told her to wash her face more, and use a good astringent. It was NOT working.
So, I asked a friend of mine whose children are all grown and who has been through this chapter of parenting. She told me that she should wash her face at least twice daily. It was OK to use an astringent…HOWEVER, I she should ALWAYS end with a good quality moisturizer. She said that ending with the astringent makes the skin think it needs to produce MORE oils which means MORE zits. When you end with a moisturizer it tells your skin you have enough oils…and less zits! I never knew that.
Well, we did it immediately and saw results RIGHT AWAY! Her face is already clearing up!
I though I would share this tip with my readers in case you or your teen have skin issues…maybe this will help!
