ROFL! OK, so this week’s top comment came from the sometimes too nice for her own good, Paula Abdul! They were discussing Brook White’s performance. Simon said it was like a burger with no meat. Randy then said no, it had meat, it didn’t have ketchup and condiments. ROFL. Then, when they came back to Ryan, they were still squabbling, and you could hear Paula say, “Where’s the Beef?” It cracked me up! ROFL!
OK, on to the review. 
Mariah Carey was the mentor. She was so nice…I LOVE her older stuff. I really do not listen to secular music much any more, so I am not familiar with her new stuff. However, most of what was sung last night was older.
BTW – we will not have any teenager comments today. She was unable to watch the show last night…
David Archuleta – (when you believe) – Very brave. Nice. Love his passion. Nice falsetto (sp?). He should use it more often. I am glad that Mariah encouraged him to use it and take a risk. I agreed with what Simon said; “you sang that very well.” Got my vote…and one for my teenager even though she did not get to watch.
Carly Smithson – (without you) – Very nice. Pleasant. Nicely controlled. She looked very pretty too. I think Simon was right again though…she over thinks it. She needs to just sing. One vote.
Syesha Mercado - (vanishing) – Again, she is not identifying herself. It’s like she is doing her version of Mariah and every other singer who’s song she sings. She is “technically” a great singer. But, WHO is Syesha?? No Vote.
Brooke White – (hero) – Risky. However, I LOVE her. I love seeing her play the piano. I love her passion and I KNOW WHO Brooke is. KWIM? She has an identity. I love her heart. The music touches her. She is MY American Idol. I think Simon was WAY off. She never needed it to be a Mariah type song. She is not a Mariah type singer. And, that’s OK! I voted.
Kristy Lee Cook – (forever) – Ugh. Her time needs to be through! Blech. I hated it. She needs to go home. I think the fact that Mariah said she gave her goose bumps went to her head. ROFL. And, I DO NOT think she meant the good kind…LOL! Simon was funny…he said; “You didn’t give me chills. (me either). You managed with what you could. It was a little bit whiny at times (a little??).” On a positive note, I thought her her hair looked great. No vote.
David Cook – (always be my baby) – I really thought he STUNK last week, and it totally changed the way I saw him. He needed to knock my socks off this week, and he just didn’t. It was OK, and that’s it. His smoldering stare reminds me of Constantine. LOL. Remember him? No Vote.
Jason Castro – (i don’t wanna cry) – Loved it from the moment he opened his mouth. He sang with passion. Awesome. His heart was TOTALLY in it. Whoo Hoo. DH even liked it. And, for the record Randy, it was “no weird beach lui aui.” I would have LOVED to be at the beach listening to it with Paula! ROFL. Oh, and Simon, I love you for being “spot on” when you said, “cool version!” OK, so it’s obvious I voted. LOL.
OK, well my bottom three prediction is….Syesha, Kristy, and Brooke (sniff sniff). I HOPE David Cook is there. LOL. I am just SO over him!
My prediction of who will win…David Archuleta.
