I am sorry…but ABORTION IS MURDER! Period.

I recently lost several of my subscribers to my Moms of Faith newsletter because of how I feel about the election results and the moral compass of our soon to be president. I would like to clarify a few things.
Before I begin I would like to say that my intention was never to offend or cause stress to my readers. However, we SHOULD be offended as Christian to ALL immorality…WAY before we are about an economy!
Now, I am about to be VERY blunt…honest and very raw…STOP now or get over it!
I do not care what color Obama is. If it was McCain that had that moral compass, I would feel this way about McCain. Color should have NOTHING to do with electing a president. That is just silly and uneducated.
The truth is that I feel Barack Obama is no better than a murderer if he does the things he SAID he was going to do. Do not get me wrong I DO and WILL pray for him and his TRUE salvation to occur. I pray that God gets a hold of him and that he DOES become a great president. However, based on what he has said with his OWN MOUTH, I am RIGHTEOUSLY angry and appalled at his moral intentions.
The one that is HUGE for me is abortion. ALL abortion. Yeah, I said it. And PLEASE do not respond with the standard what if your daughter was raped response. I have been raped. I lost my virginity to rape. I KNOW how it feel and what it does to you as a woman. AND, I have two daughters that I LOVE dearly. More than words could ever describe. If they ever had to walk the horrible road of rape and a baby came from it I would NOT allow them or encourage them to abort. HOW IS IT THE INNOCENT BABY’S FAULT?? Tell me please??? That baby has a God given purpose and can help the Mother love and forgive…YES, forgive. Even a rapist can be forgive. How is our sin any different? Who are we to judge that baby and kill it because WE were hurt??? So SAVE that speech, thank you very much!
Obama approves of abortion and wants laws that allow it. This is NOT a rumor. This is a fact that has come out of his mouth. Do your own research.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED to this society??? When did it become OK to kill innocent life? When did it become OK to have same sex marriage. When did it become a more passionate fight to save endangered animals than human babies???? Tell me please???
I am against ALL abortion. I believe that God Himself is grieved by this practice. We should preserve life. HUMAN life! Forget
Do you even KNOW what partial birth abortion is???
The 5 Step Partial Birth Abortion procedure
A. Guided by ultrasound, the abortionist grabs the baby’s leg with forceps. (Keep in mind that this is a live baby)
B. The baby’s leg is pulled out into the birth canal.
C. The abortionist delivers the baby’s entire body, except for the head.
D. The abortionist jams scissors into the baby’s skull. The scissors are then opened to enlarge the hole.
E. The scissors are removed and a suction catheter is inserted. The child’s brains are sucked out, causing the skull to collapse. The dead baby is then removed.

Great post, so you lose some follows on Twitter…small price to pay in the scheme of life! You’re following God and that’s all that matters anyway!
One suggestion, tho. The partial birth abortion steps are powerful, but considering most pro choice readers probably won’t read the entire post, maybe put that at the top, so it’s the first thing read? Just a thought.

Well said Lara!! I am sorry that the newsletter lost some subscribers but obviously they weren’t willing to hear both sides and its too bad. Obama’s stance on Abortion and stem cell research was my reason for not voting for him. I am also praying that these things will not be put in place. I love your piece about abortion and I am so glad you won’t backstep on what you have said. Love Beth

Lara… YOU know where I come from. YOU know what I did when I was 14. Ladies, I had an abortion. There I said it. Do I regret it? EVERY SINGLE DAY I do! I know I am forgiven. I am a new creature in Christ since then. But oh how I WISH I could go back in time and do it differently! There is not a DAY that goes by that I don’t mourn for that child.
I’m here to back you up 100% Lara, not that you need that because you know that God is on your side too! But I think it’s important to speak the truth no matter who it offends. The truth hurts, and the truth on abortion hurts. This whole society hurts. Jesus is the only salve to heal it all.

It almost makes me laugh - even though it is very sad - that IF someone did that to a cat there would be an outrage! But babies are being killed like this.
Even though partial birth abortion is banned (NOW, if FOCA passes it won’t be anymore) if a women receive an abortion in their second trimester the babies skull is actually crushed by the doctors hands in order to deliver the baby.
I think it is appaling. If there were videos of baby sea lions getting their heads bashed in people would most certainly cry.
What about thes babies - God’s most treasured Creation - even more treasured then cats, sea lions, or polar bears!
Unfortunately this is the sign of the times. It’s just prophecy being fulfilled. Sad though to not only be persecuted by the non believer, but then to also get it from your so called fellow believer is very upsetting.
I’m just afraid - what’s going to happen when the Christians for Obama realize who and what they voted for, oh I pray for them because the guilt will most certainly be overwhleming.
Keep doing what you are doing, sweetie. It’s stressful, I know!

I am totally behind you. I just don’t get how someone can call themselves a “Christian” and be Pro-Choice. It’s WRONG and regardless of how you feel it is murder. I know many women who like Karyn, have had abortions and you know they all say the same thing. They remember it everyday and if they had to do it over again they would have NEVER done it. Some of them have become counselors at crisis pregnancy centers and now their ministry is helping these girls that get into this situation know that there is another option. There is help and there is forgiveness. Thank God for that.
If people don’t like to hear the truth then they need to go somewhere else. ((HUGS))

I think that people leaving your newsletter might be a blessing. Not because you are losing readers, but because you are obviously touching a nerve. If people are going to leave because of the stuff you say then obviously it’s because they are having their own doubts and don’t want to be influenced/don’t want to think about it. If they felt strongly in their conviction that they are right and you are wrong they’d stay and argue with you!
Cindy - #1, Please learn to spell. It’s “proved” not “proofed”. #2 How is saying that she’s against the man because of his very liberal stance on abortion proof that she’s a racist? I happen to know Lara (granted, not as well as i used to) and I know she’s absolutely not a racist. #3 Yes, God does know best but just because this radical was elected President does not mean it was what God wanted to happen. He gave us free will and when people use their free will to elect a radical, that’s on the people. #4 I can’t even touch your anti-American sentiments without using language that is really not appropriate.

the Word of God is offensive to some - it is a powerful two-edged sword and causes division - division of Light from the Dark. The truth is offensive to some. Do not be discouraged. Your stand - your words - they come from your heart.
I had an abortion when I was 17. It was the one major thing I regret most in my life. If I had it to all over again, I would have chosen LIFE. But God was gracious to me - and despite my sinful choices - when I got pregnant - again - He gave me a blessing through giving my son in adoption. It was difficult and painful - but I never regretted it and God gave ME a new life because of it. Now that I have my own girls - looking back at the choices I made - I can honestly say that I would never advise, recommend, or push them into abortion. Life is too sacred and precious.
Abortion will always be a choice. It’s there. But God calls us to choose life. And that’s where we stand.
