Vacation is Over…THANK God! | Welcome to My Place!

I wish I could tell you all that I had a fabulous vacation. Unfortunately, it was a challenge. A real struggle. However, I have learned some stuff about myself and where I am at mentally and spiritually which is a good thing.

I have grown some MAJOR fruit. Specifically; patience, self-control and one that is NO fun…LOOOONG suffering. The thing about “long suffering” is that you are never certain if it means you HAVE to remain IN the suffering or if you can escape it and it’s really all about attitude. I will let you know if I figure that one out. ROFL!

Vacation Highlights in No Real Order Just as I Thought of Them:

My 5 year old is a little prayer warrior. She prayed for a friend of a friend who has cancer. The cutsie part was how she worded it. She called it “canceled” instead of cancer…hmm…maybe a little prophetess in the making?

I discovered life will never be a fairy tail.

I ate too much because I thought, “what the hell, I am starting a diet next week anyway.”

Gained 3 pounds.

I watched a series of boring or otherwise not what I expected movies…a couple of them were; Pink Panther 2. Unfortunately, all the funny parts were in the previews. Bummer. I also saw, My Life in Ruins. A major “B” movie. Bored me to tears.

Did not sell my websites listed on eBay.

Relisted a couple.

Had a ridiculous argument with my Mom because she insists I am going to cremate her (which I am not…never even thought about it) when she dies…HUH? Yeah, I know, THAT is the kind of stuff I deal with.

Lost my husband to Facebook Poker for the week.

Did not kill him.

Considered it.

Just Kidding.

No I’m not.

ROFLMBO!

Cat threw up at the foot of my bed while I was sleeping. This was a fun one.

Had several real belly laughs with my daughter while watching stand up comedy.

Did I mention I gained 3 pounds and ate too much??

Statement above motivated me to create a whole new website dedicated to the topic of fatness.

Lost my Bible…at church….still hoping to get it back.

Was given two free tickets to the Newsboys “The Way We Roll” concert. Went with teenage daughter, who “dumped me” and sat with her friends. Sat with a friend. Had fun.

My oldest turned 16.

Went to Animal Kingdom to celebrate.

Did TONS of laundry.

Almost fainted when I heard Obama won Nobel Peace Prize. Huh? I mean I pray for the man, but geeze, he has not even been in office a year. ROFL. What a world. Hey, I would LOVE for him to donate the prize money to ME! LOL!!!

Rescheduled my pending Garage Sale for the third time.

Played Mouse Trap.

Oy Vey.

What does that mean anyway?? ROFL!

Saw UP at the dollar theater. Funny movie. See it.

Went to church. Several times.

Watched and enjoyed Survivor. Great season. Russ is the devil.

Lost count of my gray hairs.

Took oldest to dentist for teeth cleaning.

Was offered and turned down a leadership position at church.

Prayed a LOT.

Looked forward to the vacation to end.
