Update on Me and my Sickness Drama!

I went to the doctor again yesterday since 10 days of antibiotics did NOT clear my ear so I could hear OR make my cough go away!
OK, so they cleaned my ears and I still could not hear out of right one…so the doctor looked again and said it is infected. She also said that the other doctor prescribed me with too weak of an antibiotic, and it did not clear the entire infection up…SO….I was given another “stronger” antibiotic. I took one of them last night and another this morning. I am to take 2 a day for 10 days…hopefully my ear will clear up in a couple days!
On to the cough…
(for those who do not know, last October I was hospitalized after coughing up a nice amount of blood. I was there for 5 days with what they called a viral lung infection that they could not explain…and that was the only explanation they could give. Since then, I have suffered with a persistent cough that flairs up nicely when I get even a hint of a cold.)
OK…back to what doc said…
She did an xray and cannot see anything “obvious,” other than the congestion in there, She said that the reason I may still be coughing after a year COULD BE that I still have a low level inflammation in my lungs that will require a breathing treatment regiment that could go on for 6 months to a year before I am fixed…or, I may have developed an asthmatic condition.
She wants me to go in for some blood work (when I am better from current illness) and set up an appointment with a Lung Specialist that she referred me to. He will be able to confirm or add to her “diagnosis” better.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
PLEASE pray for…
1. My right ear clears up so I can hear right again!
2. I get the cough thing worked out and it is nothing too serious and fairly easy to solve.

I am just SOOO OVER this! I mean enough already!
Oh, and another fun episode in the Velez carival of sickness…my teenager needs to go to the doctor now too…HOPEFULLY, we will at least be HEALTHY this Christmas since we will not be able to exchange gifts! THAT would be a blessing in and if itself! ROFLMBO! AHHH!

My first Christmas MeMe!

Well, I have never done a Christmas meme before and saw one on a friends site, Becky.
It looks fun so here I go…
1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?
Hot chocolate. however, I do like eggnog…ONLY organic valley eggnog though.
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
We do not celebrate Santa, so they are put on the tree as we get them.
3. Colored lights on house/tree or white?
Tree, different theme every year.
4. Do you hang mistletoe?
No, but does not mean I never will! LOL
5. When do you put your Christmas decorations up?
Normally the weekend before Thanksgiving. This year we were late though.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
My homemade stuffing. The fam favorite too.
7. Favorite Christmas memory as a child?
You can read it here. Do not want to rewrite. LOL
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
I never taught my children about Santa. They have always associated Christmas with Jesus and Jesus only. To me, Santa is a commercial nightmare that takes away from CHRIST in Christmas. Jesus is everything. HOWEVER, I DO tell them that there are a lot of kids who DO believe in Santa and it is not their job to “inform” them. LOL! Oh, And… I am not interested in any negative comments about my views on Santa.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
Yes, one…sometimes two…and occassionaly my DH and I will open all of our personal ones to each other. LOL!
10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
My teenager and DH do the tree set up, I do the lights, we all do the ornaments, then I do the snow and skirt, finally DH does the Angel topper.
11. Snow. Love it or dread it?
Live in FL, so I do not experience it…but, I am not apposed to it. LOL
12. Can you ice skate?
Yes, actually
13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
Anything and everything my kids give me and make for me!
14. What is the most important thing about the Christmas for you?
Jesus Christ, and spending time with my peeps.
15. What is your favorite holiday dessert?
Honestly, not sure…LOL…one I didn’t have to make??? LOL! J/k Really though…not sure…
16. What is your favorite Christmas tradition?
Every year, each family member buys an ornament that represents them for the tree. We have been doing it for like a decade and have so many wonderful memories. DH cries EVERY year!
17. What tops your Christmas tree?
A beautiful Angel
18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving?
LOL…whatever. Both…but giving to my little ones is awesome…and the needy tops it all.
19. What is your favorite Christmas song?
Geeze…LOL…Jingle Bells batman Smells Robin Laid an Egg…LOL..>ROFLMBO! Seriously, Little Drummer Boy, by Jars of Clay.
20. Candy Canes. Yum or Yuck?
I like them.

Well, this year, to even have the money to HAVE a Christmas for the kids…We are beyond broke…but…either way, at least I KNOW I have Jesus!!

For a few hours on Christmas Eve afternoon, DH’s family. From Christmas Eve night through Christmas day, just us and the kids.

Sick and Tired of being SICK!

Man, I am SO sick of all this illness…my ear feels like it is getting worse. 
It hurts and I cannot hear. It feels stuffy. This is day 8 on antibiotics with no ear improvment AT ALL! I have to wait til THURSDAY to see the doctor and my patience is weraing thin! My head is aching and I am a complete grump! Please pray for me…and if you have any stuffy ear advice…well…PLEASE share!!!!!!

Sinus Infection…among other things…

Well, I have been dealing with an “unknown” viral lung infection since last year…It has caused many days of down time in my life and business….NOW…my body has decided it was time to try a sinus infection. This is my very first sinus infection and let me tell you it is PAINFUL! It does not help the ongoing migraine I have been dealing with either!
Boo Hoo…LOL I feel so pathetic sitting here with tissues stuck up my nose…Let me tell you I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO attractive right n ow…Don’t ya wanna be me??? LOL!
On a positive note the sinus medication is FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE at Publix…
Please pray for me…I feel like this is SUCH an attack…I mean I cannot explain how I know, I just do and I am OVER it!
OK, well, off to lay down…

Will I Ever REALLY Get the Flab Out??

Well, I am back on another flab fighting kick…nothing new just another try. ROFLMBO!!! Why oh WHY do I get off track? Could it be a lack of discipline? Uh…DUH! LOL!!! Well, I really DO want to lose this unwanted pile of goo potruding from my thighs and butt region. It is quite UNsightly! There is a happier thinner and less gooey me in there…isn’t there? LOL!
OK, so pray for me and wish me well as I venture on the fight the flab journey…AGAIN!

I am sorry…but ABORTION IS MURDER! Period.

I recently lost several of my subscribers to my Moms of Faith newsletter because of how I feel about the election results and the moral compass of our soon to be president. I would like to clarify a few things.
Before I begin I would like to say that my intention was never to offend or cause stress to my readers. However, we SHOULD be offended as Christian to ALL immorality…WAY before we are about an economy!
Now, I am about to be VERY blunt…honest and very raw…STOP now or get over it!
I do not care what color Obama is. If it was McCain that had that moral compass, I would feel this way about McCain. Color should have NOTHING to do with electing a president. That is just silly and uneducated.
The truth is that I feel Barack Obama is no better than a murderer if he does the things he SAID he was going to do. Do not get me wrong I DO and WILL pray for him and his TRUE salvation to occur. I pray that God gets a hold of him and that he DOES become a great president. However, based on what he has said with his OWN MOUTH, I am RIGHTEOUSLY angry and appalled at his moral intentions.
The one that is HUGE for me is abortion. ALL abortion. Yeah, I said it. And PLEASE do not respond with the standard what if your daughter was raped response. I have been raped. I lost my virginity to rape. I KNOW how it feel and what it does to you as a woman. AND, I have two daughters that I LOVE dearly. More than words could ever describe. If they ever had to walk the horrible road of rape and a baby came from it I would NOT allow them or encourage them to abort. HOW IS IT THE INNOCENT BABY’S FAULT?? Tell me please??? That baby has a God given purpose and can help the Mother love and forgive…YES, forgive. Even a rapist can be forgive. How is our sin any different? Who are we to judge that baby and kill it because WE were hurt??? So SAVE that speech, thank you very much!
Obama approves of abortion and wants laws that allow it. This is NOT a rumor. This is a fact that has come out of his mouth. Do your own research.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED to this society??? When did it become OK to kill innocent life? When did it become OK to have same sex marriage. When did it become a more passionate fight to save endangered animals than human babies???? Tell me please???
I am against ALL abortion. I believe that God Himself is grieved by this practice. We should preserve life. HUMAN life! Forget
Do you even KNOW what partial birth abortion is???
The 5 Step Partial Birth Abortion procedure
A. Guided by ultrasound, the abortionist grabs the baby’s leg with forceps. (Keep in mind that this is a live baby)
B. The baby’s leg is pulled out into the birth canal.
C. The abortionist delivers the baby’s entire body, except for the head.
D. The abortionist jams scissors into the baby’s skull. The scissors are then opened to enlarge the hole.

I get to see Fireproof tonight!

I was going to see it last night but the couple we are going with had to cancel…SO…we are going tonight! I am SO excited. Everyone keeps telling us what a great movie it is and how it will be good for our marriage…we even were given the Love Dare book FROM the movie…LOL! Anyhoo…I will let you know how it is and I will be doing a review too…
